Orchestra Excerpts Essay
Click on one of the two links below. Choose an orchestra excerpt to write a paragraph on. In your paragraph, list the composer and the name of the song and describe the instruments you hear. Explain why you like your selected excerpt. End your paragraph by talking about your favorite place to listen to music (at home, at school or live in a concert hall) and why.
Conductor Essay
Watch the video below and write an essay. Include a description of what you think a conductor does. How is this different than the role of the performers? Talk about if you think an orchestra can play without a conductor? If you had a choice between being the conductor or the performer, explain which role would you choose and why?
